One of our own is in need of YOUR help as the dog community of Colorado. PLEASE take the time to read below and find out what happened to Bob Attleson’s dogs last Friday when he was at the show. If this is allowed to happen to one, it will happen to more of us. It is my understanding that the City BROKE INTO BOB’S HOME and took the dogs out through windows! If you can pass this on to anyone else in the community that I've left off this mailing, or you know other dog people who can stand up for this wrong, it would be greatly appreciated.

What Carole was referring to by asking the FKC members to read below ... was the request by the All Breed Rescue Network [ABRN], Bonnie Guzman, for a show of support on February 22, 2008, the Court Hearing, which has long past. There were 50 or more people that showed up to support Bob and the courtroom was packed. A Press Release by the City of Littleton's Kelli Nardi went out immediately "Attleson Pleads Guilty." Yes indeed he did. He pled guilty so he could get his dogs returned to him. They were being held as ransom for his guilty plea. Who amongst you would not have done the same thing?
Again, we want to reach out with thanks to all those that have recognized the injustice of this forcible break-in and the illegal seizure of Bob's show dogs.
To those few in the 'fancy' that are working behind the scenes to undermine the good Bob has done in RESCUE, we know who you are. We know what you have done and are doing and we can only pity your ignorance.

Many acredited Rescue groups have obtained Public Court Records regarding this situation. The photos are disgusting and nasty. The facts to this story are that All Setters Rescue was busted in September 2006 NOT in February 2008as you have been led to believe. The owner Robert W. Attleson plead guilty to a deferred sentence in 2006. He violated the Deferred Sentence on numerous occasions including breeding another litter and leaving those innocent, sick puppies alone for almost 12 hours to attend a dog show. The bust in February was a parole violation bust because he couldn't follow the rules and keep his word to the Court and the animal Control Officers that tried for 15 years to work with Bob. So sad when a Rescue that is not an acredited non profit organization needs Rescuing. Get the facts to this by obtaining Public Court Records and find out the truth. ESAA English Setter Association of America has removed him from Rescue. AKC has been notified as has several other Parent Club Organizations. You have all been led over the cliff like a bunch of sheep just because Barbara Miller and Bob Attleson posted a twisted version of the story to cover up the deplorable truth. Sad. Shame on you all for supporting this disgusting tragedy. Write the Littleton Courthouse and view those photos and documents for yourself. Concerned and enlightened Rescue Volunteer.
I'm not sure who you are anonymous, but I do know Bob. I've known him for over 20 years. Many of us in the dog community know Bob and know he is a kind and gentle person who truly cares about his dogs. I almost think from your post that maybe you are someone from the city or the discredited shelter that wanted to steal his dogs. I think you are someone who wants people to believe the worst of Bob. Don't waste your time. I've driven by his houses to check our the claims of the city. These are older homes but they are in good shape and to my understanding none of the neighbors had any complaints. I've also talked to past animal control officers and they never had a problem with Bob. In fact they liked him and knew him to be a good person who took excellent care of his dogs. I also use to live in Littleton not too far from Bob. It is not the same city I had known. You have changed, and not for the better. I have seen all of the documents on this case and the city has done a pitiful job of trying to claim they acted in good faith. They didn't. "Innocent, sick puppies.." where did you get this from? These puppies had the best of veterinary care and none of them were sick until taken and housed improperly by those that took them illegally.
You sign as an 'enlightened rescue volunteer'. That is a joke if you are any way associated with those that wanted to sell these dogs for their own profit under the disguise of a shelter? Shame on you. The dog community will stand behind Bob. That is a fact you can count on.
I don't believe this is anyone from any shelter, from any acredited rescue group, or anyone from the city. The poster that mentioned my name and Bob's name as twisting the truth and leading you over a cliff is a vicious person that is in the FANCY and this person has caused problems for others, not only for Bob. We know exactly where all this hatred and evil is coming from. We know exactly who is sending out court reports and emails to others in the Fancy.
Our record of saving setters and placing them in good homes to give them another chance at a good life stands as a beacon to the work and dedication that Bob and we rescue volunteers do. This poster cares nothing about saving the unfortunate and can try to blacken our names but we will prevail.
Bob has given his time and money to save setters before and when the English Setter Club of Greater Denver turned their backs on rescue. Yes, someone in the FANCY had Bob's named removed from the ESAA Rescue listing and this isn't the first time. And yes, the AKC has known about the issues regarding rescue and Bob's selfish efforts to save setters from the very onset.
It's a shame that old houses and housekeeping is so important when the dogs in Bob's care, his dogs and the rescues, have always been given excellent care and have been found in excellent condition. I've seen the reports on the dogs when Bob's premises were inspected by the city and these reports were written up by the city and they are up on the Attleson Website.
And for the comments on the puppies that were taken by illegal forceful entry, they were NOT sick until they were taken and placed in harms way. The poster of such nasty untruths, that wants to carry this vindictive assault on Bob is a mean-spirited person and BEWARE, if you do not cow-down to "IT'S" wishes, you will be next on the HIT LIST.
